Caribbean Sports Quest ("CSQ") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of every person who interacts with our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your own information. 1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect
Data you give us directly: name, email address, phone/WhatsApp number, payment details (processed by our payment provider — CSQ does not store full card numbers), event information from organisers, photos and videos you submit, and your messages to us.
Data collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referral source, and cookie data.
Data from third parties: social media platforms, payment processors, and travel and accommodation partners.
3. Why We Collect Your Data — Our Legal Bases
We process data for ticket sales and event listing management (contract), platform updates, WhatsApp communications and the email newsletter (consent), customer support, platform security, analytics and sponsor communications (legitimate interest), and legal compliance (legal obligation).
4. User-Submitted Content
By submitting photos, videos or written content to CSQ through any channel you grant CSQ a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish, edit, translate, distribute and display that content to promote Caribbean sport. You retain full ownership of your content and may continue to use, share or sell it freely.
5. Event Organiser Data
Active upcoming events are held until 24 hours after the event date; completed event records remain searchable for 2 years; organiser account data is held for the life of the account plus 2 years; ticket transaction records for 7 years; communications for 3 years. CSQ maintains automated daily backups and will notify affected organisers of any data loss within 72 hours.
6. WhatsApp Communications
CSQ uses WhatsApp as a primary communication channel. Broadcast lists are opt-in only, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any CSQ WhatsApp message — you will be removed within 24 hours.
7. Who We Share Your Data With
CSQ does not sell your personal data. We share it only with payment processors, event organisers (for ticket check-in), travel and accommodation partners, our email delivery platform Resend, analytics providers (anonymised), legal authorities where required, and any acquirer in a business transfer.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies (required for login, cart and security), analytics cookies, marketing cookies, and third-party cookies from embedded services. All except essential cookies can be disabled.
9. Data Security
We use daily backups, HTTPS encryption, internal access controls and regular security reviews. In the event of a breach we notify affected users and the relevant authority within 72 hours.
10. How Long We Keep Your Data
Account data: active account plus 2 years. Ticket records: 7 years. Organiser data: 2 years after last event. Email subscriptions: until unsubscribe, deleted within 30 days. WhatsApp: 3 years. Analytics: 26 months. Support records: 3 years.
11. Your Rights Under the Jamaica Data Protection Act 2020
You have the right to access, correct, erase and port your data, to withdraw consent, to object to marketing, and to complain to the relevant Jamaican data protection authority. Email support@caribbeansportsquest.com — we respond within 30 days.
12. Children's Privacy
CSQ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Users aged 13–17 should have parental or guardian consent.
13. Third-Party Links
This policy does not apply once you leave caribbeansportsquest.com for third-party sites such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Caribbean Airlines or social media platforms.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time and will update the effective date above. Significant changes are notified to active users by email or WhatsApp.
